Imperial Whitetail Beets & Greens features annual seed varieties that are designed to work together to attract and hold deer throughout the fall and winter.

These include the Whitetail Institute’s proprietary kale, turnip and radish varieties, as well as the sweet attractiveness of sugar beets. These components are included in the Beets & Greens food plot in ratios that Whitetail Institute testing has proven will provide abundant, highly attractive tonnage from early fall through late winter, as well as tubers to help deer through the harsh winter months. Designed for planting in the fall, Beets & Greens establishes and grows quickly.

We spread nitrogen on it a few weeks after it started to germinate. Results were fantastic. Looks more like a well tended vegetable garden !

    Years of success

Posted by Paul on 18th Oct 2023

After trying a multitude of products with reasonable success I tried Whitetail Institute 3 years ago and have had great plots every year since with the Beets & Greens. Even with one year being very dry and another very wet we still have had great plots. Deer chew the leaves down in the fall and dig the beets up all winter. Perfect plot for northeastern PA.

Fantastic combination of food for the deer

Mid summer the deer were concentrating on the Rape & kale. Then later they were eating the tops of the Beets, Turnups, & Radishes

I chose this to plant on a new food plot with poor soil. We did a soil sample and followed the instructions. Planted in Mid August right before a much needed rain. The food plot looks very nice and the deer are using it all hours of the day. Looking forward to spending some time in the stand looking overlooking the food plot.

Easy to plant, the deer are already eating in the plot in early September.
