Bart
broke into the outdoor industry in 1989 as a newspaper
editor. After working two years at a weekly he took a
position as a sports and outdoor editor of a larger
newspaper. From that experience he landed a position as
the assistant editor of Deer & Deer Hunting magazine.
After working for nearly three years at Deer & Deer Hunting,
Bart started at Scales Advertising as an account
executive and media buyer.
During his stay at Scales he started working
with the Whitetail Institue of North America and has been the editor of
the magazine for four years. He has also seen the magazine grow to a
point where leading, well-respected outdoor writers like Charles
Alsheimer and Bill Winke now consider the Whitetail News one of the best
magazines in the deer industry.
