John
White considers cold mornings in tree stands and duck
blinds among his very favorite memories. Besides hunting
and fishing, he also likes searching for Indian relics
and taking young hunters out and teaching them woodsmen
skills.
He
started hunting when he was 15 with his grandfather who
always made sure his grandson received Field &
Stream or Outdoor Life Magazine. A lifelong
love of hunting for deer, ducks, doves and small game
resulted.
Over the last 20 years
John has worked with hunting clubs on management plans and has planted
thousands of acres in food plots. For the last 15 years he has managed a
2,000-acre farm and has guided hunts as well.
John
relishes being in touch with other hunters across the U.S. “They learn
from me and I learn from them,” he says. And that’s a lot of learning
because John has almost grown up with the Institute as he has been there
for over 15
years as a consultant.
