If
hunting is in the genes, Steve Scott is living proof.Steve shares his father’s love of both fishing
and hunting, especially hunting. He has traveled across
the U.S. in pursuit of whitetails and especially likes
hunting in the Midwest and stalking squirrels with his
two young boys.
As
he matured as a hunter and had the opportunity to
“fiddle with food plots,” he recognized more and
more the importance of forage and sound management
techniques.Like many hunters, he became obsessed with finding that
special forage advantage to improve his hunting
opportunities.
After
graduating from Auburn University with a degree in business, Steve
established a successful career in sales. At
his father’s invitation he left that behind to invest in the growing
Whitetail Institute and like his brother he became part owner and vice
president.
As
vice president, Steve is involved in almost all aspects of the business.
Since coming on board in 1990, he has been involved or in charge of
various departments. While department managers have been hired to better
organize the growing company, Steve still assists and advises with
sales, public relations, customer service and Whitetail News.
He
is notoriously cautious to give a green light to any product until it has
been thoroughly tested and proven to work.Steve especially enjoys staying in touch with the Institute’s
field testers and personally reads all customer complaints and
compliments.His favorite
pursuit is to “exceed customer expectations.”
