William
Cousins is just a farmer at heart, even with a degree in
marketing from the University of Alabama. He was raised on a farm and today owns his own
farm in a county north of Montgomery.
As
a matter of fact, it was farming that brought William to
the attention of Ray Scott and qualifies him as the
“oldest” employee at the Institute. As a college student, William worked summers on
Ray Scott’s farm in Pintlala.Impressed by his knowledge and work ethic, Scott
brought the young man on board as soon as he officially
founded the Institute in 1988.
William
enjoys farming and planting for wildlife so much he considers it a
favorite hobby along with fishing and hunting. He has immense respect for the land and is proud of being a
certified Treasure Forest Land Owner by the Alabama Forestry since 1997.
As Director of
Operations, William manages the operations of the company. He still
enjoys talking food plots and farming with field testers and customers.
