I have 40 acres. Since I started my plots about 10 years ago, I hold a good population of does. I pass 8-10 young bucks per year and know at 3 1/2 years of age these bucks will score 130-150. I am in an archery only zone and my stand overlooks my Imperial Clover. And in 10-12 years of planting and going from deer hunter to just bowhunting large bucks, I have taken four nice bucks – 11-point 226 pounds Boone & Crockett 161 1/8, 10-point 222 pounds Pope & Young 142 2/8, 10-point 232 1/2 pounds Pope & Young 138 7/8, and 8-point 189 pounds Pope & Young 136.
