Ron Wolford – Kansas
Enclosed you will find a picture of a 10-point buck I took this past year.
I planted Imperial Whitetail Clover in a small ravine, and it seems to
attract the deer. It worked great for me this year. This buck came out of
nowhere on a foggy morning about 85 yards away, and I finally realized
what they mean when they say you get buck fever. The first shot he just
turned and looked right up at me and I said to myself, “O/S??? I missed.”
But the second shot dropped him. When I climbed down form my stand and
made my way to the deer and saw him up close, everyone from a mile away
knew I got the big one. He scored 189 5/8 and made Boone & Crockett. |
