Cutting Edge is not just another salty mineral product.
Read the labels on mineral products and you’ll find they aren’t much more than glorified salt.  Some contain a staggering 60% to 99.5% salt and only a few trace minerals.  Cutting Edge is not another mineral product. It consists of more than 30 active ingredients and seven different components.
  • Minerals: A total of 14 mineral groups including calcium, zinc and iodine.

  • Vitamins: Fat-soluble vitamins including “A” for skeletal formation; “D” for antler growth and “E” for reproduction response.

  • Energy ingredients: The proper combination of structural and non-structural carbohydrates and lipids that give deer much-needed energy during the rut and in cold weather.

  • Protein: Both degradable and bypass proteins – keys to antler growth.

  • Digestive aids: Promote the growth of microbial colonies to help deer get the full value of the food they consume.

  • Flavoring agent: Devour, a special taste and scent enhancer that deer can’t resist.

As for salt? Cutting Edge Initiate and Sustain contain only 1.5% salt; Optimize just 17%. Cutting Edge is not a complete feed, either. It is a concentrated supplement designed to complement natural forage.

Cutting Edge is granular, so it is easy to use… for you and the deer
To create a Cutting Edge supplement site, you simply mix or pour the granules onto the ground in a wooded area near a well-used trail.  For the deer, it’s also easier to use than conventional blocks.  It’s like a glass of water vs. and ice cube.  If you were thirsty, would you rather drink from a glass of water or lick an ice cube?

Also ideal for mixing with corn or soybeans
Corn and soybeans can be great energy sources for deer.  However, feeding a singular food lacks nutritional balance and can be detrimental.  Plus, the digestion of corn and soybeans in a deer’s rumen increases stomach acidity, diminishing a deer’s ability to properly digest food. By mixing corn or soybeans with 10% to 17% Cutting Edge, you add nutritional balance and buffer the acidity, thereby helping deer get maximum nutritional benefit.
